The Alliance International through our talented members developed so many presentations for seminars and workshops to train the rural people in order to achieve our objectives. Other seminars are also organized all over the country to raise funds for the running of the organization. ARTICLE III
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE ORGANISATION:
· To bring development to the rural areas
· Empower people, especially the rural dwellers, to come out of their poverty.
· Help rural people identify and develop their talents and use them to make their lives more meaningful
· Create environments that will educate, motivate and provide recreation to encourage rural people to reach their full potential
· Identify and respond to pertinent social issues and rural problems
· Reducing the illiteracy rate in the rural areas
· To improve the health status of the rural dwellers through health education and promotion
ARTICLE IV
MEMBERSHIP:
All concern youth who share the same common vision, mission, and goal as ALLIANCE INTERNATIONAL are eligible to become a member of the organization.
Any person or group of persons above the age of forty years can also become a member of the organization but cannot hold any executive position with the exception of the position of the Patron.
Membership shall be non-partisan, and non-sectarian.

Work in conjunction with other departments in fulfilling the vision and objectives of the Organization.
Present a report to the organization as and when required.
The Director of Information & Education shall:
Be the head of the Information and Education Department of the Organization
Responsible for training, developing and improving the skills/Talents of members.

The patrons shall comprise of persons who have distinguished themselves in their chosen professions.
They should not be politicians, partisan and sectarian.
The patrons shall be called upon to offer special assistance and support, as well as advice to the organization as and when necessary.

CODE OF CONDUCT:
All members of the Organisation are expected to live up to expectation. For instance;(a) Maintaining self-respect and disciplined in the organisation.(b) Should show respect to elders, executive members, ordinary members as well as authority at all times in the working communities and elsewhere.
Members should avoid acts that might lead to disgraces either to themselves or to the organisation. For example;(a) Stealing or fighting (b) Drunkenness (c) General misbehaviour (d) Any behaviour that fall in contrary with the aim, objective and mission of the organisation
Not withstanding the provisions of clause two of this article, any person found guilty shall be queried, punished or remove from office in case of an executive member.

ARTICLE IX
PENALTIES OR SANCTIONS:
A member shall be penalized when; (a) he/she embezzles or misappropriates the organization’s funds.(b) he/she fails to honor his/her financial obligations that will be approved by the General Assembly for more than three consecutive occasions.(c) he/she by conduct brings the name of the organization into disrepute.(d) The extent or gravity of such sanction(s) shall be determined by the executives.
ARTICLE X
MEETINGS:
Executive meetings shall be schedule once every three months. Suitable meeting days shall be chosen by the various chapters for the sake of convenience.
Departmental meetings shall be held once every month. However, the number of meeting days per month may increase depending on the situation.
General meetings shall be held as and when necessary of which meeting date, time and venue shall be communicated to all members not less than two weeks to the meeting day (except emergency meetings) .
Two thirds of the members of the organization can call for an emergency meeting when the need arise.
ARTICLE XI
ELECTIONS AND TENURE OF OFFICE:
Any person who wishes to contest for an executive position in the organization shall submit in writing his/her application to the General Secretary one month to the general elections.
Any person who wishes to contest for an executive position should be able to read, write and speak English.
Executive positions shall be contested on merit.
Election shall be done through the ballot box.
The person with the majority of the vote cast shall be declared the winner.
Unopposed candidates must score 50% + 1 of the total outcast votes to be declared a winner of a particular portfolio.
Executive officers shall hold office for a period of three years and shall be eligible for re-election.
Handing-over shall be at an annual get-together.
ARTICLE XII
DECENTRALIZATION
A) REGIONAL
· There shall be two (2) regional coordinators to oversee and coordinate the activities of the chapters that are under their jurisdiction.
· Regional activities shall be planned and implemented by all chapters in that region.
· A region shall consist of not more than ten (10) chapters.
B) CHAPTERS
· The organization shall operate with a decentralize system of which chapters shall be created.
· A chapter shall consist of not more than five thousand (5000) members
· All chapters shall operate autonomously yet inline with the Vision, Aims and Objectives of the organization.
· All chapters shall have the same model of composition (Executive, Departments and Committees) as that of the national body.
· All chapters are required to open their own bank account for the flexibility in the disbursement of funds.
· Chapters shall be required to pay a fee (to be determined by the national executive board) with the consultation of the entire membership, from time to time.
· All chapters are expected to participate fully (in all ways), in all activities organized at the national level.
ARTICLE XIII
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES:
Seminars/workshops, conferences and symposia.
Clean - up exercise or campaigns.
HIV/AIDS (as well as other diseases of public concern) awareness campaigns.
Assisting projects undertaken by other organizations that are inline with our aims and objectives.
Organizing recreational activities.
And any other activities determined by the executives in conjunction with the members that will help us achieve our aim.
PENALTIES OR SANCTIONS:

No portion of this constitution shall be altered, deleted, repealed or otherwise amended except:
The amendment has been approved by two third of the members of the organization at a general meeting.

ADOPTION AND MISCELLENEOUS:
Unless otherwise specified in this constitution;
Quorum means the number of people needed to be present at a meeting.
The Organization means ALLIANCE INTERNATIONAL.
Liaison means the link between the organization and other bodies.
Done in convention by the Unanimous consent of the founding members, present on the sixth day of July, 1998 in the year of our Lord; in witness whereof we have here unto subscribed our names as the founding members:

The Organization means ALLIANCE INTERNATIONAL.
Liaison means the link between the organization and other bodies.

HISTORY OF ALLIANCE INTERNATIONAL
The Alliance International (AI) is a youth oriented, non-governmental, and non-profit organization of young people who seek to promote the welfare of the deprived, the sick, the poor and the marginalized in the society. AI engages in activities in the rural areas to improve their standard of living and make them feel part of the world at large.
The Alliance International (AI) begun as a youth voluntary organization in 1998 in Accra, Ghana, as an Environmental Youth Organization which focused on environmental protection issues. After successful strides in this area, the organization expanded its operation to cover Health/Sanitation, and Education/Information.AI believes in change society through relevant education and information while maintaining the health of the individual through health education as well as addressing sanitation issues in the rural communities. The organization has moved its head quarters to Sunyani in the Brong-Ahafo Region of Ghana, which serves as the middle for all our chapters nation-wide.

OBJECTIVES
· To bring development to the rural areas
· Empower people, especially the rural dwellers, to come out of their poverty.
· Help rural people identify and develop their talents and use them to make their lives more meaningful
· Create environments that will educate, motivate and provide recreation to encourage rural people to reach their full potential
· Identify and respond to pertinent social issues and rural problems
· Reducing the illiteracy rate in the rural areas
· To improve the health status of the rural dwellers through health education and promotion

THE ADMINISTRATIVE STRUCTURE
AI is well structured and administered by self-motivated young people.The Alliance International is run by an Executive Council (National Executives and all Chapter Executive Directors), of which executive members are elected by the entire membership to handle the day to day running of the organization. There are two people appointed by the National Executive Board to coordinate all our regional activities.
DEPARTMENTS
Three departments exist to help achieve the objectives of the organization.
HEALTH & SANITATION DEPARTMENT
The Health & Sanitation Department:
· Develop manuals, seminars and health programs to educate the rural people on health matters.
· Develop presentations to help educate the rural people on sanitation issues and help in solving sanitation problems in these rural areas.
INFORMATION & EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
l Adult education (teaching our adults English and other social issues that can help develop them personally)
l Offering managerial skills to rural people through our numerous educative programs
l Giving comprehensive vocational training to the rural dwellers especially the youth
l Teaching entrepreneurial skills in the rural areas to raise entrepreneurs for greater national development
l Empowering the women in the rural areas and equip them with the necessary skills for national development.
l Supporting any skills development and educational activity in the rural areas

THE SECRETARIAT OF ALLIANCE INTERNATIONAL
